Manipulated By Magik Privacy Policy

At the Manipulated By Magik site, the privacy of my members is of extreme importance to me. This privacy policy explains how the personal information collected on this community is used. Please read this privacy policy before using the site or submitting any personal information. By using the site, you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy. 

These practices may be changed, but any changes will be posted and changes will only apply to activities and information on a going forward basis. You are encouraged to review the privacy policy whenever you visit the community to make sure that you understand how any personal information you provide will be used. This policy is effective from 24, April, 2010*. 

*This privacy policy was in effect when the site was still 'HIM-Addicts'. It was later revised mainly for the name of the site which became 'Manipulated By Magik', but still had the HIM-addicts url. Effective Jan. 2019.
The Privacy Policy is updated again at the new Manipulated-By-Magik.spruz.net url. Effective Jan. 2021.

Collection and Usage of Information:

This site only collects needed personal information such as username and email addresses when signing up for an account.  

Any other content members submit is strictly voluntary, except for some questions which are only viewable to the site owner (Magik) & are required to avoid spam-bots. This information is used only for member registration and Magik or the site itself, may periodically send emails about updates or other information which you may find interesting, or to notify you of replies to your comments or when another member interacts with your profile (such as leaving a comment, sending a PM or friend request, etc.) using the email address which you have provided. The site, the administrator/ owner, nor the moderators will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. 

Logs:

As with most websites or communities, this site makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, date/time stamp to administer the site, track member's log-in patterns & activity. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that will identify you personally. This information is only available to the site creator/ owner (Magik), and no other members have, nor will have access to this information. 

Links:

This site may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave this site, you should note that I, Magik, do not have any control over any other websites you visit. Therefore, I cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by the Manipulated By Magik privacy statement.  

Contests:

Members entering any contests on the site*, may be required to give out personal information for distribution of prizes. However, members are not required to provide information, and per our Terms Of Membership, they would relinquish any winnings to the next runner up. 

This information is only retained for a short period of time to send out prizes, if any are won. Information will then be deleted. The site owner or any administrators who host contests will NOT share any information provided with anyone within the community or with outside sources. It is our policy & responsibility to keep our members safe.  

*This site, in its new incarnation will not be having such contests, so this part is no longer relevant. Effective Jan. 2019 

Personal Privacy:

Members' personal privacy is important to the site owner/ creator. If any member has an issue (health, financial, etc.) in their personal life & shares it with either any of the Staff on this site or another member, it is not allowed to repeat their issues with anyone else on the site, UNLESS you have permission from that member to do so.  

If a member wishes for you to relay a message to the other members on the site, (such as the reason they're not active, etc.) please only share what they give you permission to share. Do NOT disclose more information than what they've asked you to disclose. 

If other members wish to know the reason why someone is absent from the site, etc., it is up to the individual involved to disclose to them the reasons, etc. Do NOT harass the member into to telling you their issues. Doing so is violating their personal privacy & the Privacy Policy set forth for this site. 

If I, Magik, find out a member is harassing another member to give up private information (health issues, etc.), I will remove the member who is harassing/ being nosey.
